I'm going to wire up an extractor in our bathroom and of course ordered a 50m reel of 3 core cable to connect up the 3 pole isolator switch.
Of course what I should have ordered was 3 core + earth but thats what you get for not paying enough attention while placing an order. If I sleeve/tape the earth appropriately in red/brown, is there any reason that it couldn't be used as the switched live as the earth wire is redundant (everything double insulated, plastic backbox etc).
