Hi, I’d like to over clad my facias and soffits with hollow board upvc but could people help me determine wether this is asbestos please and how I would go about fixing the new stuff
Why not do it properly and remove the existing facias before replacing them with the UPVC? The correct fixings are of course annulated stainless steel nails with plastic heads - Wickes sell them.

Yes, that would be my plan - no worries about painting or rot. I can't see if there are any ventilation holes though, might want to consider that, always good to have roof ventilation but make it insect proof if you do. Just one or two holes with plastic guaze stuck over them will do it.
