Did any one else see the 'fake' electrical products on TV last night?

I have over 200 channels, 8 hours and 2000+ programmes and advert breaks to choose from. Which of these were the products featured on?

I watched it.

I've seen pics of that fake circuit breaker in PE magazine and the like.

What was that device they actually tested? It looked like a 100A TP&N MCCB, and they never said what the test current was either.

It looked like typical artistic liscence and over-dramatisation. Why bother letting the facts get in the way of making the programme more exciting?

They tested something that would make the biggest bang possible.

The truth isn't shocking enough for your average viewer I guess

Why bother letting the facts get in the way of making the programme more exciting?
For the same reason that they make programmes about people who have no knowledge of, or interest in, food cooking dinner parties for each other.

For the same reason that they make programmes about people renovating derelict foreign farmhouses to turn them into hotels when they have no experience of property renovation, running a hotel, and don't speak the language of the country concerned.

Real reality, as experienced by people who don't start licking the windows as soon as they get on a bus, has no entertainment value for gawpers, only the artificial reality invented by the TV companies.
