no it will not light at all, it did at the beginning of the week and as long as the heating was on the boiler stayed lit but when the heating switched off it went into lock out.
now we can't even get it to light

if its the same model i think it is. then your so called engineer, doesnt know what a zero governor is.hence the burner pressure test point he used, is useless.

yeah it was the inlet pressure he checked.

think i will call around a few engineers tomorrow, the thought of going the whole weekend with no hot water or heating and two young children is not good.
 
had another engineer visit today and can you believe that the boiler started just before he got here, anyway he said he thought the gas valve was fine as the boiler had started but said that it was not running correctly when the hot water was on and kept trying to inginte so i would need a new heat exchanger and also after putting his little magnet thing on the pump he said that would also need replacing as it was running slow.

he also said it might be easier to put a new boiler in, not sure about that mine is only 7 years old, i thought it would have lasted a lot longer than that.

now waiting for a quote to repair........
