Faulty Alarm Circuit

I have a Texecom Veritas Alarm with a faulty panic button circuit, it appears a wire has been crushed, and when touched the alarm sounds. And since this happened the alarm won't set.

Can I just disconnect the wires from the main control board, until we have the time for someone to replace or fix the wire

Anyone know?

no.

You need to either programme it out or install either links or resistors, depending on what configuration is set up.

I would guess its a link (Short piece of wire stipped at each end)
