The 2 right-hand hotplates on my ceramic hob have stopped working. Otherwise, this dual oven, fan assisted Creda cooker model C361E is workng fine(including clock and timer and other 2 hotplates in hob.
What can be wrong, and will it be expensive to fix?

Both failed at the same time or one failed & then the other later? Do you have a multimeter?

I apologise for not responding sooner. I was away over Xmas.

My wife tells me both plates on the RH side failed at the same time.

Unfortunately I do not have a multimeter although I'm sure I could borrow one.

Thank you for your interest.

If they both failed at the same time then I would suspect that you are losing the neutral part of the supply to both plates. With the power disconnected open up the hob & check underneath for obvious burnt wires/connectors, failing that you will need to resistance check the plates & associated wiring.

Thank you for this advice. I may not be able (brave enough!) to do what you suggest, but I should be able to get a family member to do so.

Again, many thanks.
