I have a Galaxy G8000S which has just stopped working and could do with a bit of help.
I have power to the pull cord in bathroom and no power light on the shower,no noise and no water i was reading through some other forums and people have had similar problems and this has been the solenoid.

How do you know?

(Hint - anything other than a proper 2-contact voltage indicator or multimeter between L&N cannot be relied on.)

A failed solenoid valve will mean no water, not no power light.

Check for 230V between the L&N terminals in the shower using a multimeter.

As BAS says, Also look for damaged or burnt wires when you get the cover off(WITH THE POWER SWITCHED OFF)

does on this model the power neon don't light to the water is flowing through the solenoid valve.

Do a continuity check on the solenoid, with the power off.

you need a resistance test not a continuity.
a resistance test should be 3.4 kohms or above.

more likely a failed solenoid coil.
