Surely that must for two people? Why would you need two people?

We would allow two hours just incase we have to drain down, fill up etc.,.

How can you ever possibly take more than an hour to change two gate valves?

No per person; but we very seldom work in pairs.

Its not about the changing of the valves - its about possibly having to fight an airlock. Better to be prepared no?

I haven't yet met an airlock (in a cold feed or DHW outlet) that took more than 15 minutes to resolve.

Future ones will take me much longer though, because I'm going to be stunned and dazed by your charges for months to come.

Hi Again Everyone!

Just thought I'd let you know that I managed to drain my cistern and replace my faulty gate valve without incident.

Proved a bit tricky getting the valve off, but managed it in the end.

I feel really pleased with myself, but it's all thanks to your great advice and encouragement. I'd never have attemdpted it otherwise..
