'Ere, crafty, you're a yorks lad, no?

Talking of words, I remember what we used to call lunch at school - "snap"

Anybody got any other regional words for lunch, food etc?

I know someone who calls it "scram", but to me that means "scarper"!

I just thought of 'curfuffle' and 'supercalifradgilisticexpialidocious'.

mellifluous is a good word, I've yet to manage to use it in anger.

My missus who is from Sheffield calls sweets "spice".
So do I. I'm trying to educate my kids to say "Na then gi' us a spice" instead of "Please can I have a sweet."
