Because there is no gravel boards the base of our fence is a lot worse for wear. The wooden posts and Arris Rails are in good nick, i stain the fence every 3yrs. My plan is to replace the feather edge with new but also install concrete gravel boards, this should give us a fairly robust fence for a few more years ( we are both pensioners) My question, when i install new feather edge can i use any type of nails or is there one just for this type of fencing?? Annular ring shank , though nail gun is quicker .
