Featheredge fence - cover posts or not?

As you may be aware there are 2 styles to putting up these fences

1) Where the posts are visible

2) where the posts are completley covered up

I am doing a job where the posts will be slightly uneven distances apart so it might look nicer doing method 2 - but for some reason I feel like I should go for method one - purely on the basis that it would make access the posts easier - for example if I needed to take down specific parts I could take down a section between posts - whereas if I use mehtod 2 I would have to take off potentially a huge part of the fence (if that makes sense)

any thoughts?

I think it looks better without any gaps. You could use screws for the boards next to the posts so they can be removed if required.

Its been a while since I did my last featheredge fence and I haven't got to the stage of nailing them in - but IIRC you don't overlap them do you?

I am just trying to work out how you would remove individual panels if they were screwed on - wouldn't the enxt board be in the way? or coudl you sort of slide it out as long as you dont put the same screw into 2 board?
