Featheredge fencing on stone wall

Hi

I have a stone wall and want to increase privacy into the garden by placing a 5ft featheredge fence on top

I have read though that this is not recommended but can it be done so it's secure and safe


What is the best way of fixing the posts to the wall, I don't really want the posts fixed into the ground as it will cover the stone wall which I want to keep in view rather than cover it up with fencing

Hope this makes sense and some landscaping / fencing experts can offer some advice

Metal base plates bolted on top of the wall should do it so long as there is additional support further along to support the top of the panels. Use fast setting resin glue to fix bolts into the wall.

I'm not an expert on fencing but that's how they did mine several years ago and they are still standing
