can anyone put a finger on why this site seems 'angry'? i've been on other forums (not mumsnet) and generally everyone seems friendly.

yet on here, there's in-fighting left right and centre....

what gives?

Other sites moderate out a lot of stuff, this one sails a lot closer to the wind in what it allows.

What the feck's it got to do with you?

Anger on this site? :?: :?: :?: I don't see all that much. There's a lot of robust humour but that's surely no bad thing. Calorific's post is a good example - and note how the smiley at the end makes all the difference between humour and hostility. 8) 8) 8)

Which is probably just as well in my case.

There are some vanity sites which seem to require pandering to the whims of some powercrazed mods with infantile egos. You tend to find that a lot of such places are closed to the general public from viewing - presumably those that post on there are too embarrassed to be seen writing such drivel or being bossed around/kow-towing to some frustrated housewife with delusions of grandeur.

Luckily, on here, we only have joe to worry about but he's a real pussycat.

Simples, they are all trying to outdo each other and see who gets the most red stars, "thanks".
Bit like kids in primary school.

"Thanks" aren't counted in GD, so your attempt of getting a couple is a lost cause. As for "primary school", what responsible adult has brought you out of your creche?

If you really must know, you can you can stop the count of thanks being credited to your posts.
Guess what. I did, I dont need to be a member of a mutual appreciation society.
Clearly you think its important
