Fence panel sizes

Hi,

Looked in wickes, fence panels appear to come in two sizes, 6ft, and 5'11in ?!

I need a new fence and new posts. What is the normal spacing between posts? or are they simply spaced to each panel?

I may want to change panels at a later date etc, why are all panels not the same size!

the difference will probably be with or without the capping as the pannels are all standard size as far as i know

proprietary fence panels are all 6'-0" wide.

they will vary in height and top profile.

i think you buy varying degrees of height from, say 3' up to 6'.

fence panels are all 6' wide, however ther is always a little varience in them as they dry out etc. If youre erecting the fence it should be erected as post, panel, post panel etc, not all the posts first and then the panels.
