So I’m ripping out the dying hedge and was planning a feather edge fence (agreed with neighbour). The ground slopes gently then steeply then gently at the end. About 100ft all told.
Sorry it’s sideways.
What looks best in this situation as here are some apparent options? What would professionals do?
The middle option is the cheap option and there is no gravel board so the featheredge will rot at the bottom and look untidy quickly , with a gravel board if that rots it's quick and easy to replace
I prefer no 3
What does your neighbour prefer and who is having the posts and arris on their side ?
Thanks for advice. Notching arris rails on a slope frightens the life out of me. I’m happy to have rails on my side as I plan a new hedge on my side to cover it up. Will give some privacy whilst hedge grows !
