Fernox DS40 - Advice

As in my previous post I have a noisy Glowworm Economy Plus 60 F in an open vent system with S plan controls. A look at the previous threads on this subject has convinced me that Frenox DS40 is the way to go; I was looking far a little advice on its use.

Is the only option to add to the expansion tank, once the system is drained down?
Should I assume a day to drain/clear the system after the 7 day run?

Any advice gratefully received.

This may be a dumb observation, but; the Fernox Injector, £ 75.00? Garden chemical pressure sprayer £10.00?

As you are lucky enough to have an open system with an F&E tank, you don't need to inject the chemical. You can just add it to the F&E tank and mix it in, then drain a bucketful of water out of the drain cock to draw the contents of the F&E down into the system.
