I've got a condensation problem which is now settling on my carpet in a particular room.

I've had a couple of people come to see me bout it and they both suggested a positive pressure ventilation unit.

They suggested one of these 2 -
  • Nuaire Flatmaster
    Ferrob Aridair

Does anyone have any suggestions as to which one to choose in terms of quietness, efficiency and running costs?

Appreciate the help,

JH

Hi,

My name is Llyr Davies and I'm the Nuaire Self-Build Design Estimator.

From reading your post below I would recommend our Flatmaster or Drimaster unit.
Just to give you a better idea of how the two PIV units work, the Flatmaster is designed for apartments, and needs to be ducted from an external wall and then fed into a central hallway. The Drimaster is designed to be installed in the loft space of a house; a diffuser is then installed in the ceiling of the landing area.

I do have literature on the performance characteristics of both units which I could e-mail to you. If this is of interest, my e-mail address is ******** As a guide the Flatmaster costs approx. 5p a day to run.

If you have any other questions in the meantime please do not hesitate to ********** reply to this post,

Hi, can you give a comparison between your flatmaster and the Ferrob Aridair in terms of running costs, noise levels and efficiency?

Thanks

Ventilation is required to prevent condensation, it's free , no need for forced ventilation, you do of course need fans in kitchen and bathroom and they must be used.[You cannot dry clothes indoors without causes extreme condensation problems.]

I had a flatmaster in my old council house was very good system it came with a heater which helped

I have a Drimaster installed and works a treat curing my condensation in bedrooms also. Nuaire all the way for me....
