Like other manufacturers, Ford determine a huge mileage for their timing belts - in this case 125k or 120 months.
Whether you choose to leave it that long is up to you.....I’ve recently done a SEAT Leon at 115k, recommendation at 110k. The belt looked and felt in excellent condition.

Its likely dependent on the quality of the belt fitted.
I was advised recently by my local VW garage that the Bora TDI change is 4 years/80k miles. My sister had a C3 and the recommended mileage was 80k miles. She went just past the 80k miles and the belt snapped wrecking the engine.
A belt change is around 1/6 the cost cost of a new engine.
Once again, we trust what we are buying.....or do we?
The SEAT kit I fitted was a Gates one, at least as good as the original so on it went, including pump, tensioner and idler.
So long as it’s a genuine product! Getting a main dealer product should remove any suspicion.
