Hi I have a problem - the lock on the drivers door won't unlock very easily. It locks fine but try turning the key the other way and it's really stiff and feels like the key is going to snap off. This doesn't happen on the other side. Has anyone had any experience of this? Thanks

First thoughts are it soulds like the barrel is about shot at!
Do you have another key you can try - just to make sure it isn't the key that's worn? I take it you have oiled the lock?
How old a car? Might be a trip to a scrap yard or local garage if you want a barrel and key or a trip to your nearest ford dealer if you want to get a barrel that fits your existing key
