Fiesta mk4 self revving

I have a fiesta mk4 that revs itself when the engines cold and I am stopping and putting the clutch down. It also loses power at around 3000 rpm. Anyone got any ideas what could be wrong? Injection has been cleaned and did not help.

mass air flow sensor maybe? Or perhaps the idle control valve is dirty?

Have you tried squirting some carburettor cleaner through the air intake?
Usually sort out dodgy running problems. Can buy it from halfrauds for a few quid a tin.
