Fill through-hole in external wall

I need to fill a hole that was originally created for running satellite TV cable. In typical fashion, the installer has just taken a 3/4" masonry bit and blasted straight through the external wall from the living room, leaving quite a big 'blow-out' on the external side too, which is currently filled with copious amounts of silicone and of course, the cables.

The house is lime render of over block-work on the exterior, and then plasterboard over metal rails on the inside.

I'm puzzled the best way to fill it, as squirting in any sort of expanding filler is going to cause it to spill out into the void between the block-work and the plasterboard internally.

Any tips?

Don't squirt foam into the hole - the resulting mess won't really achieve anything and may fill the cavity giving you another problem.
