Fill valve movement

Is it normal for these type of fill valves to be loose on the coupling nut shown in the picture. I. E it spins from side to side. Thanks.
It's in a concealed cistern.

It moves on the nut in the cistern

If it clicks when you turn the nut, stays where it's supposed to and it doesn't leak past other than where it's supposed to fill from then it's fine. There are so many different types of fill valve that it wouldn't surprise me that it's supposed to be like that. Hard to say though with actually being there and seeing it.

Wouldn't fill me with lots of confidence though, I'd be giving it the scientific wiggle and pull test.
