filling holes in bedroom walls.

I have recentely removed a built in wardrobe in my childs room and this has took of some of the normal wall exposing brick work. What is the best way to fill this.

If the holes are not to big, just use polyfilla, if they are deep you can use this but just build up in layers, its an easy diy job.
