Hi

I have 2 old plug socket holes that need to be filled in, the back boxes have been removed.

What is the best stuff to fill it with, I want to eventually achieve a smooth finish so the wall can be painted and look like the rest of the wall.

Many Thanks

in which case use bonding coat, fill it flush then let it go off until it's like cheese then using your trowel cut back about 2 mm and put some skim into it and trowel flush.

Done this and it turned out perfect.

Before the bond dried I skimmed of a few mil and scratched it as well so that the multi finish would take.

an electrical question for you, planemad

what did you do with the wires?
