My boiler has a filling loop with a screw that is used to top the boiler up. The screw head has been partly stripped and I am nervous about using it in case I can't turn it off. I have two questions.
No 1, if I couldn't turn it off would it keep filling the boiler and then flood?
No 2, is it a difficult job to replace the screw?

Depends on the type of filling loop.

1. Shouldn't flood, The PRV should open and vent the system to the outside if all installed correctly but that wouldn't stop, it would just keep doing it
2. Usually you would replace the valve.
