Hello

I'm having a new kitchen fitted and where I'm putting my washing machine used to be where an old, floor standing boiler used to be. That part of the concrete floor is lower than the rest of the floor (a space of about 70cm x 45cm) which needs filling to make it level with the rest of the floor.

Do I just use regular pva bonding before adding the concrete to this area, and do I have to use special 'super strength' concrete or something, since a large, vibrating washing machine will be sat over part of it?

Thank you.

I'm no expert but I done something similar once and I just used a thick paste I made from water mixed with cement and brushed it all over before screeding but then that was for screeding not concrete but I'm sure a more experienced person can add to this

BTW sharp sand 4 to 1 concrete with waterproofer made a solid mix for me seemed "super-strength" to me lol
