dont think it will work[but it may]
because the jig is for a specific cutter and the jig has the angles on it for that specific cutter to cut both the joint halves in one move
now you would have to use a wider cutter [the exact same as the centers off the jig segments]so wont fit in the jig ----- i think

Yes and no!
The trend dovetail jig will do box joints.....but you need a replacement guide which has different spacings.
