I am using a travertine 400 x 400 tile which is 12mm thick. I will have one simple splashback behind the sink and wondered how i finish the top of the tile because it will be fairly unattractive in it basic form. To you use silicone to give a good finish or use some type of moulding ?

we often find that a square edged chrome floor trim is the least visible and neatest way. from the face you only see a 3-5mm small chrome strip.

Many do just grout it though

Have a look around for a nice square profile metal tile trim. It'll look much neater than grouting or siliconing the top and look nicer than a round edge trim (imo).
