Fitting a Laufen form bath with an aluminium frame to which the bath panel fixes then I will be tiling the panel with 457mm x 305mm travertine tiles. I was going to use 18mm wpb but it will be too thick when the tiles are fixed to it so I thought about 12mm wpb or aqua panel,but will these be strong enough any suggestions from you more experienced guys welcome.

So long as the panel is properly supported at its edges and along its centre 12mm will be fine.
