Fire alarm systems

I've done a few twin flex systems and never really got on with them.

Not sure why but we seemed to have loads of trouble with them. I prefer seperate detector and sounder circuits. Analogue addressable systems are the best, but a bit overkill for a pub

Well i have never had a problem with them and save so much time, esp installing them in three storey student houses without having to install two lots of circuits and less extra 'carp' on the ceilings. Each to their own I suppose, it wouldn't do if we all liked the same thing :D

Why heat detectors in the bar, smoke are more common since the smoking ban.

Well it's an old village pub, and the previous landlord allowed smoking on a 'lock in'. So the regulars may encourage it to the new landlord.
Just an observation of mine really. I'd rather have heat alarms installed instead of them removing them if they go off.
