Fire door stops requirements

Hi all,
Building control came and said our internal for doors' stops were insufficient (they were pretty small!), so my builder came and installed some monster stops today! They're 25mm by 32mm! I've got pretty narrow doors anyway so this is ridiculous! It's serious door stop overkill!
Before I get them to change them tomorrow, does anyone know the requirements for building control please? I've got some stops that are roughly 14mm by 32mm, surely that would be sufficient..?
I'd phone building control but it's the weekend and builders are back tomorrow - hopefully for the last time!! (been a long process!)

if you install fire strips can you then use the thinner stops?
i was lead to believe you could.
