Hi.

I'm about to install a new upvc window in a bathroom.

I am wondering once I've installed the lintel and cut the opening.

What do I need to use to form firestops around the new opening?

Can I use kingspan or similar or can I use timber.

If I was to use timber can I then fix the new window directly to this timber with frame fixings ?

Is there anything else I need to know/ anything to note?

Thanks
