First ceiling tomorrow

being my first ceiling i feel it went well. Only slight problem i had was getting plaster to stick to one little bit of the ceiling. 10cm by 10cm was the size of area. All i can think of is must of missed this area with the pva. Would this sound about right. My god though my arm is tired. Pleased i dont have another ceiling to do anytime soon.
what were you plastering onto? glossy surface?
Pogo stick works well.................... 
The paint was satin that i plastered onto, gave 2 coats of PVA, all i can think is that i missed the same spot twice.
