First House brickwork advice

How would a survey be able to find that out i thought they just do a visual inspection?

What do you mean by angled fillet?

And its a good friend of mine I've had for 10 years he's been in the trade for 30 years with plastering, building rendering, roofing, bathroom fitting and a lot more under his belt

Also a carpenter friend looked over the internal

And he's not In it to make money as he is doing it for free as a friend to make sure we don't buy a polished turd his words haha

I have been researching the surveyors and it seems like they only tell you what you can see with your own eyes.

Thanks H

Ta-dah.

You and a surveyor can both see an angled fillet, but only one of you knows what it is and the reasons why it might be there.

It's the grey cement thing along the bottom of the wall in the first photo.

Ah yeah I see is there a reason for it ill try find a better photo :)

These are the photos I have

It looks like water is coming down the wall from the soffits (white stains and dirty soffit boards). You probably need eaves protectors fitting and investigate why water is getting onto the roof felt?

Also get rid of those wooden posts that are bridging the DPC

Ah yes I see that its the front porch I think people who fitted it bodged it as they knocked some bricks loose.

Also those wooden posts are being binned as soon as I get the keys :)

as soon as I get the keys

First house. Exciting times! Nothing you have shown gives me great concern - all houses need a little maintenance, so don't stress. Things can be less than perfect for years without causing major issues, although best to deal with stuff asap when funds allow.

Ah ideal thanks for your help and reassuring me if all is good with the roof sale will go though :) just wondering how much all the repairs will cost now time to research
