Hello All,

I've been a lurker of this forum for many years so thought I posted my first major project. I'm currently in the process of fitting a new bathroom suite.

We've gone for the following:

Bathroom Suite - https://victoriaplum.com/product/clarity-bathroom-suite-with-straight-bath
Shower - https://victoriaplum.com/product/orchard-wye-black-thermostatic-bar-valve-shower-system
Taps - https://victoriaplum.com/product/orchard-wye-round-black-bath-mixer-tap, https://victoriaplum.com/product/orchard-wye-black-cloakroom-basin-mixer-tap-with-waste
Shower Screen - https://victoriaplum.com/product/mode-8mm-black-framed-bath-screen
Tiles - I've we've gone for the classic subway tiles with black grout.

I've currently been doing this in evenings and this is the current progress:

  • Old tiles removed, both layers. (Old owners, tiled over tiles.)
  • Removed old tile adhesive. (Little tip from the forum, get a decent scraper and a steamer, it comes straight off)
  • Removed old plasterboard off stud wall.
  • Removed bath and added caps to water pipes.
  • Added new CLS joints to support the shower valve and head.
Tonight, I'll be adding the new plasterboard, I'm using the MR Plasterboard and finishing off the pipework for the shower.

Here's a few pictures with the current progress:
