Hi I am just to embark on a full bathroom renovation.

The house is a 1930's terrace, standard brick with cavity walls.

The bathroom is extremely cold and has two external walls. Currently it is all tiled, I want to strip all that back and just tile the wall with the bath on it and the shower once new suite is in place.

My question is what should I line the walls with? Insulation backed plasterboard on the exterior walls and moisture resistant plasterboard on the tiled walls?

Do I go all the way back to brick before lining?

yes insulated plasterboard on the exterior walls and something like hardibacker in the wet areas. whether you remove the existing wall coverings back to brick depends on how sound the current coverings are and whether you can afford the reduction in space.
