    Are you sure it's turned on.
    Is it really turned on.
    Can you turn it off if you turn it on.
    Should it be turned on.
    Was it turned on before you arrived.
    What will break when you turn it on.
    Has it ever been turned on.


I think you would be pleasantly surprised how many situations this covers.

That's just about perfec' , but at one point in that process do you ask "What idiot installed it like that?" ?

and while asking you MUST ensure you are rubbing you chin in a thoughful manner

"no one has ever done that before"
