Hello,

First post in forum so hope it is in right place.

I'm just a bit puzzled after having my boiler serviced. Everything was fine with the boiler, all emissions safe etc but the man servicing it said my gas meter was turned off and that he had turned it back on.

Two questions spring to mind. Firstly who would have turned it off in first place and secondly if it was turned off how comes I've still been getting my gas supply ok. I had a hot shower only a couple of hours before he arrived.

Like I say everything has been working fine, and he did not seem concerned although he was surprised it was off. Just wondered if anyone might know if there was a simple answer.

Two meters, or maybe your gas in by passing the meter

Definatley only have the one meter and its serial number matches with my bills as I checked that.

Some thing sounds a little suspect
If you are concerned or have any queries then give the gas engineer a call back just so you can get some clarification on the issue
