Fit french door

Hi all,
I have no DIY knowledge at all and am wanting to make some home improvements on the house we have just bought.
One job is converting a dining room window into French doors.
The french doors will be second hand ones but how much would it be to remove old window and fit new doors please. Also do i need to apply for anything first?
