After removing my old ceiling rose and marking the return switch cable with a tag I tried to replace the ceiling light, wiring the black to neutral, green to earth and the red + black switch wire to live in the new light block. However when I switched the main fuse back on, the light would not switch off! . I therefore replaced the switch on the wall, thinking it might be the wall switch, but still the light would not switch off. Can someone shed some light on the problem? - excuse the pun :D

if you look n for refernce you will see how it should be wired. its your switch cable that is wrong
