Did you mark your unit, some very untrustworthy people on Fleabay. You'll probably give him a refund and he'll return his old unit. Foxtrot Oscar comes to mind.

Well, the end result was I gave a refund. Wasn't happy about it, but with no way to check he had done things right, I felt there was nothing else I could do. I'll put it down to experience.... and probably never sell anything ever again!!
