Fitting a side gate

Hi,

Will this be OK:
Fit a post to the walled side of a conservatory for the hinges of a wooden gate. and fix the gate on the other side to a second post (fixed in by poscrete)?

youre better off using a wall plate on teh conservatory side (4 x 2) That can be rawl bolted into the wall and will take the weight of the gate much better
