any electricians that can give me advise on fitting an electric hob please, i have recently got rid of my gas cooker and hob and bought electric but my new oven came with a flex/plug already to plug in, as my new hob has nothing.
can i just fit a flex to the hob and plug in or does it have to be wired into the fuse-box

thank you

Have you any details of the hob?
Such as:
Make/model
Output rating
You would expect that the manufacturers instruction that came with the hob, to have details of the sized flex required.

Depending on the size of the new job (kw), but I should think you will need a new circuit installed (usually 32A) back to the fuse box. Most jobs require there own 32A supply.
