To comply with current regs I have to fit an extractor fan in our new upstairs toilet. It's a large dormer attic room & behind the wall is the loft area & the soilpipe with durgo which runs 3.5 mtrs to the wall to connect to the exterior vertical soil pipe.
Getting this pipe thru the brick wall was a nightmare due to difficult access on both side of the wall & I dread having to do it again to fit the fan pipe. Going thru the roof is a last resort but is possible

My question is are there any ways to extract into upright part of the soilpipe where the durgo is fitted by using some kind of one way valve to prevent smells coming back thru the extractor vent ?
