Fitting floorboards to a floating chipboard floor, no joists

Hi all

I have a floating chipboard floor in my kitchen. From what I can see there are no joists or batons. The chipboard has a thin layer of polystyrene beneath it, and this then sits on top of a concrete sub floor.

I was hoping that I'll be a able to fit some reclaimed floorboards on top of the chipboard. Is this possible and if so what would the best way to fit them be?

If you're very unlucky you could do nothing at all with it, see here - between a rock and a hard place, specially if the reclaimed boards don't have T&G and are rather short and narrow
