I've got a shower head and hand hose that have 1/2 BSP male thread on them. I've bought a push fit wall plate, but after I fasten it inside the concealed wall behind shower, it won't protrude enough to allow my pipe to be behind the wall. I need at least 30 mm for my backer board, tile and adhesive - as can be seen from photo, I've only got about 10mm space when tightened up

What other fitting am I supposed to use to hang these things.. and why they hell don't they have instructions.

Thanks

I had to freestyle this one. Victorian plumbing were of no help. Which is where I bought it from.

I beefed it out with a male/male brass nipple and then a female/female one. Not ideal as it’s another few point of potential leak failure. But Im confident it’s going to be fine.

Welcoming all criticism……
