Hi all,

I have bought a bathroom rated light for our en suite. It has a simple live/neutral/earth connection inside. I went to remove the old ceiling rose to find that it has got 2 switch live, 3 live, 3 neutral and 3 earth! The original rose is catered for all these wires. The new light has not got the space for all these wires (it will only allow for 1 wire in each hole)

Will I have to put a junction box up in the loft? Will 1 junction box be enough (considering I need to run a new single 3 core wire down to the new light)

Thanks.

You can replace the ceiling rose with a junction box and connect your new light into that if that makes it easier to fit the light.
Remember the junction box has to be accessable.
