Help please loft light only works with bathroom light on

That's not as good as the disadvantage of it, what if when in the far corner of the loft searching for the Xmas decs someone goes to the loo then turns the bathroom light off?

If worried about the light being left on, have a neon indicator at a switch near the loft hatch, with another switch inside the loft so you can put the light on in case the landing switch is turned off accidentally.
