Recently replaced cabinets in kitchen like for like with B&Q white basic type. The existing fold out extractor hood is only 29cm deep whereas the new cupboards are 32cm deep (excluding doors), it is 60cm wide. Was going to keep existing extractor but open to idea of replacing it but cannot find any 32cm deep ones, only 27cm or 28.5cm deep fold out extractors.
Am I right in thinking I would need to use wooden battons or similar and screw into that rather than into wall directly?
Annoying to have to do this, prefer to find fold out extractor same depth as cupboards.
Any suggestions appreciated.
