Hi,
Started plasterboarding part of my gagare conversion project.
I've got two lintels holding up the house walls that protrude into the new room (formally the garage). What would be the usual way to plasterboard these, dot & dab, fix battening then plasterboard? Shouls I insulate between plasterboard and lintel? Any advise appreciated.
thanks
KS

here's the lintel in question.

Just dot & dab with Drywall adhesive on concrete lintels but with steel lintels, I run a few beads of grab adhesive as it gives a much stronger bond on steel than Drywall; you don’t need to insulate.
